Glass Door Specifications

For doors, the primary concern is impact resistance and hardware compatibility. Glass Type: 12mm Toughened (Tempered) Glass. Edge Work: All edges should be polished (Flat Polish) to prevent cuts and improve aesthetics. Hardware: * Floor Spring: Heavy-duty (e.g., Ozone or Dorma) tested for 500,000 cycles. Top Patch & Bottom Patch: Stainless Steel (SS 304 grade) finish. Handle: SS 304 "H" type or "D" type handles (standard size 300mm to 450mm). Lock: Patch lock at the bottom or center.

Glass Partition Work

Partitions divide space without losing the "open" feel. Glass Type: 10mm or 12mm Toughened Glass. Fixing System: U-Channels: Aluminum or Stainless Steel "U" channels fixed to the floor and ceiling. Silicon: Clear structural grade silicone (e.g., Dow Corning) to fill the gaps between glass panels. Sound Insulation: If privacy is needed, use Laminated Glass (5mm + 0.38mm PVB + 5mm) to reduce noise. Film: Frosted or etched film for visual privacy.

Glass Elevation (Structural Glazing)Elevation work requires high wind-load resistance and thermal insulation.Glass Type: High-Performance Reflective Glass or Double Glazed Units (DGU).Example DGU: $6\text{mm (Outer)} + 12\text{mm (Air Gap)} + 6\text{mm (Inner)}$.Frame: Powder-coated or Anodized Aluminum sections (e.g., Jindal or Hindalco).Fixing: * Spider Fittings: For a "frameless" look, use SS 304/316 Spider brackets with glass fins.Structural Sealant: Must be weather-proof and UV resistant.Safety: Use Heat Strengthened or Laminated Glass for higher floors to prevent falling shards in case of breakage.
